He’s big, he’s mean, he’s hairy…he’s “Grizzly” House Jones. Standing in a 6 foot 4 inches, weighing in at over 300 pounds, “the Master of the Bearhug” is a force to be reckoned with in the wild wilderness known as Pure Pro Wrestling. PPW stars know him as one of the most ruthless competitors on the talented PPW roster, fans know him as a mysterious, yet terrifying individual that decimates all that are unfortunate enough to find themselves in the dreaded “Bearhug,” but who is “Grizzly” House Jones? PPW’s Matt Burns has an exclusive interview with PPW megastar.
Burns: it’s a pleasure to be able to interview you, I like to start by asking where your from.
Jones: Don’t try to flatter me Burns, it won’t get you anywhere except in a Bearhug. I’m from a place where people appreciate the simple things in life. I’m from a place where you can still drink water from a stream without being poisoned by hazardous runoff, I’m from a place where your nearest neighbor is 10 miles away, I’m from a land where you won’t find trash, only lush green forests. This is a place where the rest of you unfruitful *explicit* haven’t wrecked yet with your pollution and littering. I’m from the Great White North.
Burns: The rumor around the PPW locker room is that you used to wrestle bears for a living. Is this true? And if it is true, what sort of compensation did you receive?
Jones: Rumor? That’s not a rumor, that’s the truth. Why do you think I’m not afraid of any PPW star? Why do you think I’m tough as nails? Why do you think my Bearhug is unbreakable? Its because if you can squeeze a vicious Grizzly bear until he’s unconscious then you can beat a man on a mat. Plain and simple. And as for compensation…that’s none of your *explicit* business.

Burns: You keep talking about the “Bearhug,” tell me your secret. What makes you more successful at this hold than any other pro wrestler in the past?
Jones: My secret? There’s no secret Burns. I’m the best at the Bearhug because I’m 300 pounds of alpha male manliness. I’m 6 foot 4, I’m stronger than an a *explicit* bear. I’m the best at the Bearhug because of my strength, size, and God given ability. I’m the top of the food chain here in PPW.
Burns: House, there’s no denying that you are exceptionally talented with your use of the “Bearhug.” In fact your so confident in your ability that you have been issuing “Bearhug Challenges” where you put your own money up at stake by betting for yourself against a challenger from the locker room, and more recently from the audience. What are these high stakes challenges all about?
Jones: I’ll tell you what the “Bearhug Challenge” is all about. Its all about me making some *explicit* money. You think that wrestling bears and wrestling men pays for all the things that Grizzly House Jones wants. Well it doesn’t Burns. I only eat the best steaks, the finest lobster tail, drink the finest of ales. I have standards…unlike the rest of the pathetic world who is too busy shopping at Walmart to realize that the finer things in life aren’t made in China.”

Jones: The Bearhug Challenge makes me a ton of cash because these yahoos in the locker room and especially the crowd think they have what it takes to break the Bearhug. Its sad really, but I have to say that I do enjoy taking their money.
Burns: House, you may be the master of the “Bearhug,” however you have yet to capture PPW gold since you graduated the Justice League nearly 2 years ago. What are your thoughts towards making a move up the ranks in PPW?
Jones: I figured you would ask a stupid question like that. I tell you what, you’re an idiot. If you’ve been paying attention in PPW you’ll see that because I’m not one of the most popular people with the fans, PPW won’t give me a title shot. Their racist. Freakin’ Body Count gets like 20 tries at the Tag Team titles and when I requested to challenge Blue Steele by myself they told me no. They said I needed a partner! Ha! House Jones is the master of the Bearhug. I don’t need a partner. Anyways PPW is racist and that’s that.

Burns: House that statement isn’t true. You did have a few title chances against Jerome Pruitt last summer during the second Gluttons of Glory Summer Tour. Both times you ended up losing. And don’t forget the Elite 8. You were in that finals, but you were beat by Petey Williams.
Jones: I don’t even know what your talking about. How could you make such acussations? Losing to Jerome Pruitt. Ha! And who’s Petey Williams? Sounds like a cartoon character. I’ve never gotten a chance at any PPW gold! Don’t make things up Burns, otherwise I’ll squeeze you until you defecate all over yourself. You get me?
Burns: Got you House. Sorry. Well House I’m out of questions so is there anything you would like to add to the interview?
Jones: Yes there’s something I would like to add. PPW I’m putting you on notice. As of today I’m coming for every title in this company. I’ll put the Bearhug on anyone that stands in my way of becoming a champion. Justice, Korvis, Hades, Manning! Watch your backs because I promise you I will get my hands on you.

Whether you love him or you hate him, there’s on denying that Chris Korvis is good at what he does; in fact, Korvis is great at what he does. This time last year Korvis was in the middle of his unprecedented Franchise Championship run that saw more title defenses than any other PPW star in history. He was running through such phenomenal talent as Xavier Justice, Former WWE Superstar Zach Gowen, J.T. Havok, Sebastian Rose, Jerome Pruitt, Hakim Zane, Hades, & more on his way to becoming the longest reigning Franchise Champion in PPW history.
Korvis’ impressive year and a half title run was ended unceremoniously by former TNA X Division Champion “Maple Leaf Muscle” Petey Williams in March of 2010. Not only did Williams end Korvis’ title run, he also put Korvis on of action for four months after delivering a “Canadian Destroyer” flipping pile driver the tenacious champ that resulted in torn ligaments in his left shoulder.
“I’ll never forget that night. I’ll never forget that night as long as I live. People say I’m full of *explicit* when I say this, but I know what happened that night. PPW fans got sick of seeing me run through the competition for over a year straight, so they started *explicit* to PPW officials, and next thing you know Little Petey Puke is signed. They needed a hired gun to take me out so the fans would be happy again. They couldn’t stand that fact that every PPW event and every TV show produced didn’t have a happy ending like the rest of the crap out there billing itself as entertainment. Fans got restless and I got screwed. I bet they paid him a bonus when he injured me with a move that is banned in several organizations, including the WWE!” Said Korvis.
Williams’ title run only lasted a few short months and was ultimately ended with an upset victory by the crafty veteran Gutter. Gutter was set to face Korvis in his return at Rollcall of Champions, however he sustained an unfortunate injury to his knee while wrestling in Canada not even 24 hours before his title defense in Waterford. Gutter was forced to vacate the championship and PPW officials chose the first ever PPW Franchise Champion Sebastian Rose to take his place.
“I was real hot when I heard that Rose replaced Gutter. I trained my *explicit* off for my match with Gutter. I worked out 5 hours a day, I watched damn near every match the guy has on tape, and I even had a sparing partner that I made work in Gutter’s style. Once I heard about this so called injury I just figured it was PPW trying to *explicit* with me again. But in the end I think they did me a favor because I’ve beaten Rose before, so it was no shock when I beat him again.” Said Korvis.
Rose put up a valiant effort as he went toe to toe with Korvis, however in the end it was the dreaded maneuver known as the “Blockbuster” that sealed his fate.
“I knew he would be trying to hit the Blockbuster all night. He tried it a couple times and I was prepared, but I made a few key mistakes towards the end there and I ended up paying for them. Once he hit the Blockbuster I didn’t know where I was. I woke up and the TV crew had left.” Rose joked.
After months of strenuous physical therapy Korvis’ triumphant return is complete. Although the landscape of PPW has changed dramatically since his time away from the ring, Korvis is confident as he begins his second run as PPW Franchise Champion.
“The way I see it I should have never had an official end to my last title run. As far as I’m concerned I’m picking up where I left off. My lawyers petitioned PPW to take the Williams victory off the record books, but so far they haven’t responded. So if this is truly my second reign as the champ then I solemnly vow to make this longer than the last. I vow to make this reign even more ruthless than the last. I vow to become the best champion that this business has ever seen. And nobody, I mean nobody is going to stop me.” Said Korvis.
With the landscapes of both the Franchise Championship and Tag Team Championship scene changing so suddenly, fans are a buzz about what the rest of the third annual Gluttons of Glory Summer tour has in store for them. Body Count is scheduled for upcoming events, however there hasn’t been any announcements as to who will be the first to challenge Korvis for the coveted Franchise Championship. Stay tuned to www.prowrestlingatitsfinest.com for more details regarding new champion Chris Korvis.

J.T. Havok Slapping Hands with PPW Fans in Clio
The day J.T. Havok walked through the doors of the Justice League School of Professional Wrestling, Head Trainer Xavier Justice saw something special in the wirily, yet deceivingly athletic mystery known as Blaqk Majik. “He didn’t fit the typical profile of most pro wrestlers. Most of these guys are tan gym rats, but J.T. was different. He dyes his hair, paints his nails, rocks tons of tats, and dresses differently than most. I knew he was nothing like a lot of these guys that try to get into the business, on the surface he didn’t look like your typical wrestler, but there was something about him. He has a passion for what he does. Its like an art form to him.” Said Justice.
Upon graduating from the Justice League, Havok became fast friends with Nick Xero, a 7 year pro that shares the same passions at Havok. It wasn’t long before the friendship they forged outside the ring quickly became a lethal tandem inside the ring. Flying high under the “Team Wreckless” banner, Havok & Xero wasted no time amazing PPW fans with a vast array of unique offensive maneuvers combined with an attitude that holds no regard for personal safety. Since the inception of Team Wreckless, Havok & Xero has been seen dazzling pro wrestling fans all across the state of Michigan on their way to becoming top contenders in the challenging PPW tag team title scene.

Havok has enjoyed his time with Xero. “I’ve learned a lot and Nick is a real good guy. He’s a unique person and he doesn’t feel the need to fit in with what society considers normal. He and I are totally on the same page. This world is all about conformity; people are taught what music to like, what constitutes good film, and what clothes to wear. Its frustrating to see kids growing up these days. I feel like they have no choice, like they can’t become individuals.” Said Havok.
Many off PPW’s young fans who are growing up in these constantly changing and ever -so-frightening times share the same frustrations as Havok. This is why many of these young men and women have adopted Havok & Xero as sort as their generation’s anti-heroes. Two men who will stand up for what’s right without fear of upsetting the delicate balance of what society considers to be moral. Team Wreckless provides a voice for a generation who is growing up without being heard. In a day where scantily clad Disney pop icons are passed off as wholesome role models, kids are being told that college is the only means of becoming a success when most of the nations college graduates remain unemployed; or that fighting in a senseless war where thousands of innocent people have needlessly died is “patriotic,” Havok is the voice of reason; a voice that isn’t afraid to be heard.

“What can I say? I’m not afraid to speak my mind. I’ve never been worried about what other people think, because the truth is that those who are so quick to judge are typically the ones who are the most insecure with themselves. I wear what I want, I say what I want, I do what I want. Being free isn’t easy, but at least its being free.” Said Havok.
Although Team Wreckless has been successful in the ring as a tandem, lately Havok has been testing the waters in singles action. “I’m just trying to get all the experience I can right now. I love wrestling in the tag team division, but I think it only makes me better to give singles a try. I have no intention on a “solo” career at the moment, but don’t be surprised if you see me going after singles gold too.” Said Havok.

Havok has had limited singles matches over the past year, however since the beginning of the third annual Gluttons of Glory Summer Tour, Havok has seen more time in the singles ranks with many of PPW’s top singles competitors. Havok has either scored victories or more than held his own against “Grizzly” House Jones, Ace Evans, Joey Dysaster, Kid Scorpion, “Mad Dragon” Hakim Zane, and rookie sensation Caleb Crosby.
With more experience from singles competition, Havok hopes to use his newfound knowledge to help him and Xero finally become tag team champions; a task that has eluded them in the past. “We’ve been after those belts for a long time now, but we’ve only really had a couple opportunities at them.” We were real close at RETROSLAM 2, but politics got the best of us, I’m not making excuses, but come on, everyone knows we can take Blue Steele.” Said Havok.

PPW is currently in the middle of its 50 event long Gluttons of Glory Summer Tour 3 and at some point Team Wreckless is expected to earn another shot at the PPW Tag Team Championships currently being held by Blue Steele’s “Dazzling” Dominic & “the Big Deal” Cody Manning, the youngest and only double champion in PPW history. Will Team Wreckless walk away with gold by the end of the GOG3? Only time will tell as Pure Pro Wrestling pushes on through the dead heat of summer.
